ALUMANATION® 301

Alumanation® 301 is a premium industrial maintenance coating formulated from asphaltic liquids, non-drying oils, a proprietary blend of fibres, and aluminium pigment. It is designed to reflect heat, prevent corrosion, and protect various substrates including metal, tank exteriors, and bitumen roof systems.

Applications:

  • Rustproofing and weatherproofing of metal roofs, sidewalls, and tank exteriors.
  • Reflective coating for BUR and modified bitumen roof systems.

Features:

  • Specific Gravity:1.00 ± 0.2.
  • Solids by Weight: 61% ± 1%.
  • Solids by Volume: 47% ± 1%.
  • Viscosity: 126 ± 2 K.U.
  • Metallic Content: Minimum 15%.
  • Flexibility @ 0°C (32°F): Passes 1/4" diameter mandrel bend.
  • Dry Time: 24 hours.
  • Flashpoint: 105°F (40°C).
  • Clean Up: Mineral spirits.
  • Consumption/Coverage: 0.45 - 0.8 liters/m2.
  • Warranty period: 10 years.

Installation & Curing Instruction:

  • Substrate: Must be clean, dry, and free of oil or contaminants.
  • Priming: No primer is required on clean, dry concrete surfaces.
  • Mixing: Mix for 2 - 3 minutes using a slow-speed drill. Keep the paddle submersed to avoid air bubbles (pinholes).
  • Application: Apply using a roller, brush, or squeegee.
  • Thickness: Can be applied in a single coat to achieve 1.5mm Wet Film Thickness (WFT).
  • Curing: Dry to touch in about 6 hours (at 23 °C).
  • Protection: Must be protected from UV exposure and traffic with a topping or protective layer.
